Yes, the recorder come with batteries and uses 3 LR44 Button Cell Batteries. To change batteries, first, put recorder in “N” mode. Grab a small flat head screwdriver, and gently push in tabs over lid. Remove plastic covering, slide out batteries and replace, realign slots with recorder switch, and pop the lid back on until clicks into place. Keep batteries away from young children.
